Reflecting on 2014

Nicole Vertommen Holidays, Personal

2014 started off hard. I was in a bad place. Long story short, my body forced me to work on the trauma’s and bad experiences I had gone through during life. Sounds like a negative path, it was, but I actually see it as a blessing. I chose to not let those bad spirits get me down. I wanted to fight, for a better life. Which meant I had to work on the bad old scars.

It took me quite a while, with therapy, victories, setbacks and a lot of emotions. It was quite some journey!

So most of last year – yeah we can already call it last year! – was in the sign of development and improvement.

As one of my challenges I took a job in France, for which I had to move, meet new people and endure working on a fulltime schedule. It turned out amazing! I loved the rollercoaster I was going through to while balancing in between adjusting and enjoying life.

After the summer I stayed in France, because I knew there was still a lot more to develop and more to figure out. What I want to do in my future for example, you can read all about it in my last blog.

Of course 2014 wasn’t only difficult, I also have amazing memories.

I can tell you 2015 is going to be amazing for me. I will leave all the bad luggage behind and will start fresh.

“Today is the first blank page of a 365 paged book. Write a good one.”

You might have heard this quote before. For me, I see it as the first blank page of a new book about my life from now on.

Wish you all a happy new year, my dear readers. Make it a good one!
